Macaroni & Cheese

MACARONI AND CHEESE

Serves 3 to 4

Ingredients:
2 cups macaroni pasta

Béchamel Sauce
1 tablespoons butter
2 tbsp flour
1 clove garlic, minced
1 1/4  cups milk

1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup sour cream
1 cup grated cheese blend

Directions:
1.    Bring a large pot of water to boil—after it is boiling, add macaroni pasta and cook according to directions on package.
2.    Béchamel Sauce:  In a saucepan, melt butter, add garlic, and blend in flour once butter has melted.  Whisk for 2 minutes.  Add milk and stir until thickened, about 6 minutes.
3.    Remove sauce from heat and stir in salt, pepper, sour cream.
4.    Add the grated cheese and cooked pasta, mix well.  Let the sauce melt the cheeses.
5.    Serve immediately OR place mixture into a greased 9 x 9 inch pan, top with Herbed Bread Crumbs (below) and bake for 25 minutes at 375 degrees.
